1) b
We have to join two sentences from the two columns in a way that they form a meaningful and grammatically correct sentence. The sentence A of the column 1 is generalizing the impact of thoughts on  a man, hence sentence A go well with the sentence F.
Similarlythe sentence B of the column 1 can be related to the sentence E of the column 2 as sentence B talks about the urgency of bill payment and sentence E shows that I had no money so I had to borrow to pay the bill, thus making a logical combination.
In the same way sentence C of column 1 makes sense after combining with the sentence D of the column 2.
Hence the correct pairs will be
A-F ,B-E and C-D.

2) A
'Danger' should be used in place of 'rejected' as there is mention of 'signs' before it and 'rejected' will be used in  place of the word 'danger' to make the sentence correct contextually and grammatically.

3)D
'Serving' should be used in place of 'purchasing' and 'purchasing' will be  used in place of serving 'serving' to make the sentence correct contextually and grammatically.
Purchasing carbon offset means to compensate for the greenhouse gas emissions caused by personal activities.

4) The errors are in b and d.
Replace 'laugh upon ' with 'laugh at' as laugh at means 'to show contempt'.
In the d part, replace 'weeping for' with 'weep for' (parallelism).
Parallelism is on of the frequently asked grammar rules in BANK (IBPS, SBI  RBI) exams.

5) The errors are in a and c parts.
In the a part, use 'yourself' after put instead of 'you'. In the c part replace 'facing' with 'faced'

6) The error is in  c part.
Omit 'an', anger is an abstract noun and we don't use articles when we talk about abstract nouns in general.

7) The errors are in a and c parts. 'The same' is followed by 'that' relative pronoun.
'Boast of ' will replace 'boast in' in the c part.

8) The errors are in b and d parts.
Replace 'two seventh' with 'two sevenths' in the b part. Replace 'a' with 'the' in the d part.

🔸Handy tip -  one third ✔️
One thirds ❌

But if it's more than one in the numerator like two, three etc then
           Two third  ❌      Two thirds✔️
           Three fourth ❌    three fourths✔️

If it's followed by plural countable noun then plural verb is used and when its followed by singular countable noun or uncountable noun then singular verb is used.

For example
Two thirds of the book is easy to understand .✔️
Two thirds of the book has been sold. ❌
Two thirds of the books have been sold. ✔️

9) The sentence is absolutely correct.

10) C
The error is in (c) part of the sentence.
Wood is a material noun which is always singular, whereas woods means forest/jungle which doesn't fit in contextually in the given sentence.
'Woods' will be replaced by 'wood' to make the sentence contextually and grammatically correct.
Stride up
