SOLUTION

1) e
We have to choose one option among the given options that fits both the blanks appropriately.
Elimination method  - as we can see that we need an adjective(to qualify the noun 'family) to fit in the blank A,so we can easily eliminate options b ,c,d.
Affluence- noun, which means the state of being affluent/rich.
Forth - adverb, which means forward in time ,place etc.
Admire - verb, which means to regard with delight.

Now,between options a and e , option e ,that is,privileged which is an adjective meaning 'having special privileges 'fits in both of the blanks appropriately and grammatically.

2) d

Again ,go with elimination method.
persistence - noun, the property of being persistent
daring  - Adjective, adventurous, courageous
 boring - Adjective, dull
honourable  - Adjective, respectable
Hence, honourable is the word that fits in both the blanks contextually and grammatically.

3) e
Go with elimination method.
To fill the second blank ,we need either 'decreases' or 'diminishes'.
Now between everlasting and indefinitely ,we have to choose one that fits in the first blank appropriately. To fill the blank first ,we need an  adverb ,so we can easily eliminate everlasting as it's an adjective.

4) Among the given options, reserved is the word that fits in the context appropriately and grammatically.
Reserved(adj)  - slow to reveal emotions or opinions.

5) D
Option A is incorrect because the statement doesn't deliver complete sense after using the fillers, 'major' doesn't make any sense after 'any'. Similarly fillers given in the options B, C and E either don't fit in the context or renders incomplete sense. Hence option D is our obvious choice.
Marginal (n) - something that is marginal,minor

6) E
Scarcely/hardly  (adv) takes 'when' while 'no sooner' takes than.

7) The errors are in  b and d parts.
Replace 'memoir' with 'memoirs'.
Memoirs - a book describing personal experiences of an author, autobiography/biography.
Replace 'his reign' with their reigns in the d part.

8) a and b parts have errors.
Replace 'drunk driving ' with 'drunken driving '.
And replace 'lose' with 'loss' as we need a noun here.
'Loss' is a noun which is an instance of losing whereas 'lose' is a verb.

9)  A and C parts have errors.
Use 'mere ' in place of 'sole' as mere means 'just' ,'only'. Use 'are'  in place of 'is' in the C part, " 'most of the'+plural noun" will take plural verb.

10) (a)
The error is in (a) part of the sentence.
An adverb of manner (carefully) can't be put between a verb and its direct object.
It should be 'carefully reassembling ' instead of 'reassembling carefully'.
