carbon offset  is a reduction in emissions of carbon dioxide or other greenhouse gases made in order to compensate for emissions made elsewhere. Purchasing carbon offset means to compensate for the greenhouse gas emissions caused by personal activities.

'you' should be used in place of 'unless' as 'to go' will need an object,and 'unless' will be used in  place of  'you' to make the sentence correct contextually and grammatically.
