How to use 'let alone' in a sentence? 



◼️Let alone :


It means much less ; not to mention 


'Let alone ' is used after a statement  usually a negative one, to indicate that the statement is even more true of a person, thing or situation that you are going to mention next. 



🔷Let's make it simpler with the help of examples. 


◾He can't afford a meal out, let alone a holiday. 


If you take a close look, you will realize that 'let alone' has been used after the negative statement (I mentioned in the beginning itself). 


Here this example means that he can't afford even a meal out, forget the holiday.
